Get free weekly news by e-mailAustralian and New Zealand based businesses will be provided with business continuity training, conferencing and other membership services by a new organisation, Continuity Forum Pty Ltd.

Managed by Isabelle Moeller, the former manager of Survive Australia, the association holds its first event on Thursday, 30th September 2004. This will provide a briefing on ‘Business continuity and the Civil Defence Act’ and will take place at the Wellington Convention Centre, New Zealand. The conference will be followed on the next day by a workshop on ‘IT recovery planning’.

Survive’s chief executive officer Lorraine Lane stated that, contrary to rumours in the industry that Survive Australia was ‘no more’, Survive continues to service the Australian and New Zealand markets. “Survive UK has not withdrawn from the Australian and New Zealand markets and will be developing these markets through the UK and through our web development strategies,” said Ms Lane.

Continuity Forum Pty Ltd is not connected in any way with the UK-based Continuity Forum.
