The
interim results of Continuity Central’s software survey finds
that only half of BC managers use specialist plan development and
management software.
Continuity Central’s software survey aims to discover how
widespread the use of business continuity software is; what specific
purposes it is being used for; which business continuity software
packages are being used for; and how satisfied users are with their
software.
The interim results of the survey have found that only half of
business continuity managers (BCMs) are using specialist plan development
and management software. When broken down into specific areas the
results show that:
* 49 percent of BCMs use software to help write and develop continuity
plans
* 50 percent use software to manage and update business continuity
plans
* 29 percent use software to manage and co-ordinate crisis management
response
* 25 percent use software to evaluate the adequacy of existing capabilities
* 18 percent use software to help train personnel.
