‘The
Australian’ has reported that according to research published
at the Safeguarding Australia 2004 conference, Australian suppliers
are being locked out of the $650 million local market for counter-terrorism
and domestic security products.
The research was conducted by the Australian Homeland Security

the value of suppliers to intelligence, emergency services, law
enforcement and critical infrastructure."
AHSRC is calling for a streamlined approach to security planning
and procurement.
