LEGATO announces AAdvanced Continuity

New solution enhances the availability and reliability of Microsoft Exchange.

LEGATO Systems has announced the availability of what it claims is the first site-to-site automated disaster recovery and availability solution for Microsoft Exchange, as well as other Windows applications. ‘AAdvanced Continuity’ is a bundled solution that combines local synchronous Windows data mirroring with wide-area asynchronous data replication. This offers the capability to automatically restart or failover Exchange and other Windows application services either locally or remotely.

LEGATO has also announced the launch of ‘Co-StandbyServer AAdvanced’ for Exchange 2000 and 5.5, which automates Exchange local availability and is a separately-orderable component of the AAdvanced Continuity bundle.
