Automata's
‘Business Continuity Summerschool’ was launched on 19th
May 2004 at Sedgebrook Hall, Northamptonshire, UK, commencing with
a two day ‘Business Continuity Masterclass: Total Business
Protection Package’.
The Masterclass aims to be a global leader
in training students of organisations from all sectors to understand
the 10 certification standards developed by the Business Continuity
Institute (BCI) and the Disaster Institute International (DRII).
Furthermore, it is designed to fully equip students to assist their
organisation with the application and implementation of effective
business continuity management (BCM) strategies. It also covers
topical BCM regulatory issues, e.g. the UK British Standard PAS
56 Guide to BCM and the Civil Contingencies Bill.
On the afternoon of the first course Ian Charters,
a board member of the BCI, who lectures on business continuity at
Coventry University, gave a talk and led discussion on these matters.
Students who wished were able to try free reflexology,
