Get free weekly news by e-mailCollocation Solutions LLC, a US-based carrier-neutral, outsourced data centre infrastructure service provider, has announced that it has added COMDEPOT’s Virtual Core to its disaster recovery and business continuity service offering.

COMDEPOT will now deliver a new set of managed services to Collocation Solutions customers, including firewall, VPN, intrusion detection and prevention, and routing services, from a single cost-effective platform.

The addition of COMDEPOT’s Virtual Core to the new Virtualized Business Continuity Service will enhance Collocation Solutions mirrored hot site offering for IT disaster recovery backup solutions by automating continuity solutions through COMDEPOT’s Virtual Core.

Collocation Solutions acquired COMDEPOT in February 2004. The Virtualized Business Continuity Service, including security, network access and carrier options, allow their enterprise clients to seamlessly connect corporate headquarters, branch offices, remote users and business partners in a secure, highly scalable and cost effective manner.

“We have experienced more and more enterprise clients looking for mirrored hot site solutions. In addition to our data centre services they are looking for additional help with their disaster recovery communication services,” says Tim Moore, vice president of Collocation Solutions. “The Virtual Core is a cost-effective way for us to deliver Collocation Solutions’ robust network infrastructure and COMDEPOT’s virtual security services to our customers in one package. We are now able to provide communication services, from initial network design to implementation and on-going monitoring, management and customer support.”
