Assurance’s Disaster Recovery Management System (DRMS) was
the recipient of SC Magazine's ‘Best Disaster Recovery Service’
award at the magazine's Global Awards 2004 ceremony held earlier
this week at the Grosvenor House in London.
The ceremony was the culmination of eight months
of nominations, voting, testing, reviewing and judging, dubbed the
‘most comprehensive and stringent awards program’ ever.
There were more than 900 IT product and service nominations from
around the world and nearly 300 companies participating.
"Evergreen's Application Availability
Services truly represent a breakthrough and we sincerely appreciate
this industry recognition," explained Christopher McCleary,
Chairman and CEO of Evergreen Assurance. "Our engineering and
development team deserve all the credit - through their dedication,
hard work, creativity and practical approach to addressing customer
pain points, we have created a revolutionary portfolio of services
that are being used by more and more businesses to completely eliminate
downtime."
The Evergreen DRMS portfolio of services
The company's flagship DRMS service, Evergreen for Exchange, is
in operation for many businesses today and provides a comprehensive
automated solution for Exchange users. The Evergreen for Exchange
service guarantees a fifteen-minute automatic failover by providing
customers with a geographically diverse, online, dedicated secondary
environment that is kept current with real-time replication of all
data changes made on the primary. Users enjoy full application functionality
and full access to all information and documents that reside on
their primary Exchange server in the event of a failover. Evergreen
for Exchange customers have eliminated all planned and unplanned
downtime by scheduling ‘planned failovers’ that allow
end users to utilise Evergreen for Exchange while routine maintenance
is being performed.
Enterprises that have their own secondary site
already established may elect to use Evergreen Solution for Exchange
which automates the process of real-time replication and recovery
between two customer-operated data centres.
Evergreen for Blackberry is currently being
installed by companies across industry sectors that require 24x7
access to wireless mail, while Evergreen for SQL Server and Evergreen
for Internet Information Server provide application availability
for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and IIS based applications.
A new service offering, Evergreen 911, provides
instant e-mail functionality for users of Microsoft Exchange 2003
in the event that their primary system is unavailable for any reason.
