NSI
Software, Inc. has launched Double-Take for Microsoft SQL Server,
a comprehensive software and professional service offering that
extends the benefits of data protection to one of the most widely
used Microsoft applications.
The NSI solution set enhances Microsoft SQL
Server native copy utilities by leveraging Double-Take software's
ability to replicate all data and non-data changes in real time
without the need to take the server offline.
NSI Double-Take for Microsoft SQL Server is
available in a variety of configurations to achieve the right level
of protection to meet budget and business requirements. Available
configurations include:
* High availability: Replicates
SQL Server data and applications to another target server onsite
providing local failover protection. Should the original server
go down, users have immediate access to the replicated data and
can use the target server as a stand-in production server.
* Disaster recovery: Replicates
onsite SQL Server data to servers at a separate, offsite server
- at any location, over any distance. In the case of an outage or
disaster, users are guaranteed immediate access to up-to-the-minute
replicated data that is available and online for recovery or for
redirection of users.
* Remote availability: NSI
claims that it is the only vendor to provide local high availability,
plus real-time replication to remote servers at a separate disaster
recovery facility at any location. When a simple server outage strikes,
users are provided with immediate failover to local replicated data
and applications. In the event of a site or regional failure, users
have a remote up-to-the-minute replica of production data.
* Complete SQL server protection:
For the maximum protection possible, NSI Complete SQL Server Protection
enhances source and remote target servers using GeoCluster Plus
software, which extends Microsoft Clustering Service (MSCS) clusters
by eliminating the single point of failure within the shared disk
resource.
NSI Double-Take(R) for Microsoft SQL Server
is immediately available from NSI and its Xcelerate Partners.
