Get free weekly news by e-mailEvergreen Assurance has launched Evergreen 911 Email Restoral service. This is the third service offering in Evergreen's portfolio of Application Availability Services exclusively supporting applications that run on Microsoft's Windows Server including Microsoft Exchange.

Evergreen 911 provides instant e-mail access for users of Microsoft Exchange 2003 in the event that their primary system is unavailable for any reason. If Evergreen 911 is required to take over for the primary Exchange system, switchover is automatic and user access is seamless. Users log into an Outlook Web Access URL and retrieve or send email using their existing user name and password.

Evergreen is currently offering this service at no monthly fee to new and existing licensees of Microsoft Exchange 2003. Businesses subscribing to Evergreen 911 pay a commissioning fee at the time of activation and a usage fee only if the service is utilised.

"Working closely with Microsoft, we have developed a simple low cost offering that provides an emergency e-mail service for licensees of Exchange 2003," explained Christopher McCleary chairman and CEO of Evergreen Assurance, Inc.
