Synstar
has opened a new full service business recovery centre in Luxembourg.
The centre offers companies an easily accessible 250 seat hub for
emergency situations, providing office, IT and communication facilities,
sizeable work space and a 750 sq.metre secured computer room which
is continuously available.
The global political climate combined with
new legislation such as Basel II and recommendations from the Commission
de Surveillance de Secteur Financier (CSSF) has driven the need
for companies in Luxembourg to implement more extensive business
continuity plans. Luxembourg like many of its European counterparts
has increased its perception of business continuity and this in
turn has driven the demand for recovery facilities and BC services
in general.
Ruth Kirby, managing director of Synstar, Luxembourg,
commented: “The market demand for business recovery is still
developing. Companies are becoming increasingly aware of the importance
of business continuity solutions. Round-the-clock business availability
is becoming a prerequisite of business success and as such is moving
up everyone’s agenda”
Synstar’s
new BRC is positioned 5km outside of Luxembourg city centre.
