of Virginia expands COOP Consulting contract
COOP Consulting has announced
that the Commonwealth of Virginia has made a statewide procurement
of software and training services for its continuity of operations
programme.
The purchase, administered by the Virginia Information Technologies
Agency (VITA) on behalf of the Commonwealth, includes:
* Licenses of myCOOP business continuity planning software to be
made available to all state and local government institutions in
the state.
* Training courses for COOP coordinators, software users and software
administrators.
"Virginia is an especially valued client. We've been able to
partner to an extraordinary extent. The agreement leverages Virginia's
considerable infrastructure, including networks, data center, central
help desk and training rooms," said Chris Alvord, CEO of COOP
Consulting. "Their commitment will help meet the aggressive
deadline for the renewed COOP planning effort required by Governor
Warner."
