Do you have a passion for solving complex business problems? KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues — managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs — that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join us in our Los Angeles office.

IT Strategy and Performance team members help businesses plan and execute technology initiatives to lower costs and support business growth, while helping them strengthen the connection between IT and the business functions it’s intended to support.

Responsibilities:

• Support information technology (IT) assessments of client technology and IT processes through interviews, data analysis, and documentation of findings
• Document and identify business processes related to IT systems
• Assess the current state of client’s IT environment and develop recommendations for improvement based on industry frameworks
• Prepare deliverables and presentation material to clients
• Assist in the creation of proposals and other new business development efforts

Qualifications:

• Three years of experience with an audit, tax, and/or advisory firm or in corporate information systems
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field; MBA from an accredited college/university preferred
• Certified or actively pursuing related professional certifications in one of the following: ABCP, CBCP, MBCP, ABCI, and/or MBCI
• Demonstrated experience in business continuity and/or disaster recovery methodologies and planning including assessing the impact of business interruptions, developing recovery strategies, and designing and implementing business continuity plans
• Experience in developing and testing disaster recovery or business continuity plans and working knowledge of IT risk management frameworks and principles including experience with process definition, workflow design, and process mapping
• Ability to travel up to fifty percent
