Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Administration/technical support of the Business Continuity SQL databases LDRPS, BIA, and NotiFind which includes system problems, changes, updates, management of user IDs, etc.
2. Ongoing monitoring of all of the databases which includes review of all vendor communications concerning changes/modifications to the BC applications, and analysis of the affect of changes to Unum's BC plans and program.
3. Responsible for development of customized reports in Crystal for use in Unum's Business Continuity Plans and for program management.
4. Partners in ongoing training of Unum, Unum US, and Colonial Business Continuity staff in the building, maintenance and testing of business continuity plans including table top exercises.
5. Primary responsibility for responding to plan administrator questions and issues via the BCP Administrator mail box and BC Help Desk requests.
6. Partners with management on the annual plan maintenance review and business impact risk assessment.
7. Assists manager in the preparation and facilitation of On-site Incident Management Team exercises.
8. Must be available to share off hours support for the program.
9. Travel and other duties may be required as requested
Qualifications
• Associates, Bachelor's degree or significant experience in the field or related area.
• Certification within the Business Continuity profession - DRI - ABCP, CBCP, or BCI is preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, or Emergency Response, or equivalent IT database administration.
• Solid knowledge of Business Continuity methodologies and industry best practices preferred.
• Advanced verbal and written communications skills.
• Prior experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with one or more of the following business continuity planning tools. (LDRPS, BIA, NotiFind) is a plus.
• Meets the standards for this position, as defined in the Talent Management Framework.
