Continuity Planning Consultant
This role will demonstrate the commitment of GCS and GIS in supporting the EMEA businesses during an incident to mitigate business impact. The following are some of the initiatives of this position.
-Conduct incident management enhancement meetings with the EMEA IRT, BCMs, and SCMs
-Conduct training and awareness sessions for EMEA IRT, BCMs and Senior Continuity Managers
-Implement specific roles and responsibilities to the EMEA Incident Response Team
-Develop and conduct all Simulation Exercises including Executive Management on an ongoing basis for the EMEA region
-Provide on call status on a rotation schedule with Incident Management Team 7 x 24.
Manage incidents regionally coordinating with appropriate Corporate Support staff, Client Relationship Managers (CRMs), Business Continuity Managers (BCMs) and Senior Continuity Managers (SCMs) when applicable.
When managing incidents:
-Conduct conference calls, identify impact to business units, communicate to management impact assessment, identify workaround being conducted to prevent any business interruption and determined resolution.
-Fulfill the Fed requirements for IT Split Operations for the support of all GCS Interagency Functions.
-Serve as a point of contact for enhancement initiatives with GCS (i.e., incident management, business function streamlining, process continuity, etc.)
REMARKS: This position is critical for us to fill as soon as possible as there is a critical requirement for a strong seasoned professional to take a leadership role to head up EMEA Incident Management.
Exception to GIS EMEA budget; GIS Mgmt commits to covering through attrition.
EDUCATION:
-Bachelor's Degree in Business
-Experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness and / or disaster recovery
Certified Business Continuity Professional preferred
SKILLS:
-Strong leadership skills especially in a critical or crisis situation
-Good communication skills
-Ability to interact with Executive Management in a professional manner
-Demonstrates sound judgement
