Purpose: The purpose of this new position is to provide staffing for all aspects of the Business Continuity (BC) Program for the hospital, clinics, and support functions. Under general direction, works independently developing and implementing the business continuity program, including implementation of the web-based business continuity planning tool, “UC Ready”. Provides direction and leadership to prepare the campus to continue its mission (patient care, teaching, research, and service) despite disaster-events. Works with departments all over campus to assist them in becoming disaster-ready. Collaborates with various campus partners on various initiatives in the broad field of business continuity and emergency preparedness, as assigned by the Administrator.
