The primary purpose of this role is to define, maintain and ensure compliance against the GROUP DR Planning Standard and associated processes and tools, and to manage and facilitate the GROUP DR Governance model.
• Define and maintain the GROUP DR Planning Standard and associated processes and tools as driven by Group DR and segment/function requirements.
• Monitor compliance against this standard by regional Service Continuity Management teams and segment/function-facing Service Continuity Management teams.
• Ensure that site recovery plans for data centres are in place, maintained and fit for purpose.
• Ensure alignment between this standard and the other GROUP DR standards – Integration, Testing, and Business Continuity Management for GROUP.
• Manage quality control and improvement of DR plans, from individual infrastructure services and applications, to end-to-end systems and full data centre sites.
• Review and sign off of GOI’s third party supplier disaster recovery plans.
• Manage and facilitate the GROUP DR governance model.
• Experience of operating within a corporate governance structure
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Significant experience of dealing with senior management and technical staff
• Significant experience of managing third party suppliers providing DR services
• Working knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning tools
• Experience of applying a wide range of infrastructure technologies to support DR and BCP requirements and solutions
• Working knowledge of relevant ISO/BSI standards
• University degree preferred
• ITIL Service Managers Certificate preferred
