Andersen Steinberg are currently recruiting for one of their clients, a leading financial services organisation, for a Business Continuity specialist with experience in the financial services sector.

PURPOSE:

  • Execute the specific service deliverables per period in alignment with activity plans agreed with the Head of BCM Europe
  • Respond to key business needs on risk adjusted basis and agreed statement of service level

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work closely with Head of BCM Europe by setting direction of relevant competence areas across all business units in Europe
  • Develop and execute best practice Business Continuity management processes.
  • Manage the relationship with the appropriate Group Risk Management contacts, and contribute to the global development of the competence in Business Continuity Management Processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with key European colleagues
  • Drive increased operational effectiveness of relevant competence activity while optimizing cost efficiency.

ROLE DIMENSIONS:

  • Functional report to the Head of BCM Europe
  • Direct report to the assigned Business Unit
  • Willingness to travel

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years experience in the financial services industry, including experience in different leadership and technical functions.
  • MBCI or studying towards the qualification.
  • Excellent conceptual understanding of Business Continuity Management combined with strong implementation skills.
  • Working experience in an international environment.
  • Appropriate experience in developing and implementing best practice Business Continuity Management and services.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • University Degree or similar.
  • Expert knowledge of Business Continuity Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the integrated assurance model.
  • Cultural awareness and the will to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English, additional language of advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven high level ability to negotiate and influence.
  • High levels of diplomacy.
  • Team-player
