Description
The Business Continuity Planner will be responsible for coordinating Business Continuity activities within the Honeywell Aerospace (Aero) Strategic Business Group (SBG). This position will report directly to the Honeywell Aerospace BCM Governance Team leader. This position will assist in developing plans that enable the Aero SBG to identify risks that may impact critical business operations and develop mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate those risks to the business. This position will also interface with the Business Continuity Program Management Office (BCPMO) to advance all Honeywell Business Continuity plans.
Responsibilities:
Champion Business Impact Analysis, coordinate risk identification, analysis, and mitigation in areas related to continuity of critical operations.
Establish testing methodologies for continuity plans and in conjunction with the Aero Governance Team coordinate the testing of recovery and resumption operations for Aero.
Ensure that the SBG maintains an SBG-wide risk management perspective.
Lead the development and documentation of a business continuity strategy for Aerospace by involving SBG leadership and key stakeholders.
Assess the impacts of potential interruptions to the business and guide the development of mitigation and response strategies accordingly.
Motivate, educate, and guide SBG members in understanding business continuity concepts, standards, practices, tools, issues, and regulatory requirements.
Provide expertise and support to SBG management/leadership as requested when business disruptions occur.
Coordinate with Aero Governance Team on response and recovery activities.
Act as liaison to SBG from Honeywell BCPMO to ensure that SBG understands and follows corporate guidelines.
Assist in all functions and documentation in BCM activities across Aero and between the SBG and Corporate office.
