Andersen Steinberg have been asked to locate a Business Continuity manager for a Global investment bank. The role is based in Hong Kong and sits in the Information Technology division of the Bank.
1) Job Responsibilities (i.e. key task profile, managerial responsibilities, etc.):
The Business Continuity Management department comprises:
• Business Relationship Management
• Crisis Management Development
• Business Continuity Management Technology, including an automated notification system and an on-line tool for building and maintaining Business Continuity plans
• Employee Health & Safety Awareness
Main Responsibilities of the role includes:
• Provide guidance and assistance to business units in the identification, development, planning and testing of critical business functions, systems and resources
• Plan and coordinate the implementation and testing of the Hong Kong Business Continuity site
• Ensure all business continuity plans are updated quarterly; provide guidance when required
• Plan and monitor tests completed by the business units
• Conduct business continuity drills with each Business unit
• Monitor and report on business unit compliance to established guidelines and standards
• Provide user guidance on pre-test documentation
• Produce post-test documentation
2) Requirements (i.e. education, years of experience, specific skills & systems).
Specify required or preferable:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Substantial related business continuity or operational risk management experience; Capital Markets preferred
• Good general IT skill set, such knowledge in network, database, etc
• Strong administration skills
• Excellent facilitation skills; works well with all levels of personnel to meet common goals
• Proactive, self-motivated and delivery-oriented individual able to work without supervision
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Works well as a team player
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Exceptional follow through skills
• 7-10 years business experience with at least 2 years related to Business Continuity.
