The Risk Management Office interfaces with the entire American Medical Association (AMA) at all levels identifying and addressing operational risk issues. It develops processes and tools to assess and mitigate risk. The department is also involved in training regarding risk related issues. The Risk Management Office will serve as the central program office coordinating the AMA’s business continuity management program enterprise wide. The successful candidate will administer the Business Continuity and Emergency Management programs through the Risk Management Office. This includes managing the business continuity program, policies, plans and supporting and maintaining the Living Disaster Recovery Planning Software (LDRPS) database. In addition you will coordinate work with other AMA units for the ongoing development and update of the AMA Emergency Program and Procedures Manual.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Two years work experience in business continuity planning and/or emergency management.
Well developed internet research skills a must.
Proficient with with Microsoft Office, Access, and FrontPage software.
Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn the specialized software applications required for the position. Previous experience with Strohl Business Impact Analysis survey, LDRPS 10, and Crystal Reports software preferred.
Written communication and visual/graphic analysis skills.
Highly organized, reliable, and strong attention to detail.
Skilled at exercising discretion and independent judgment.
Must handle confidential AMA business materials appropriately.
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills required to appropriately interact with staff at all levels of the organization
