DR Test Assurance Manager
Advertiser's text: A DR Test Assurance Manager is required for this IT Service Management department of a large financial institution. The role is based within IT in the service continuity function however does provide a solid report to BCM on all testing issues and development. This department is accountable for running and maintaining technical infrastructure, ensuring end to end service availability and quality are maintained at all times. Service Management comprises of a number of departments: Infrastructure, Service Support (e.g. Service Desk and Desktop Support), Application Support, Demand Management (project Delivery) and Service Partners (Business Relationship Management). The role purpose is to implement and maintain the testing process, so that it fulfils the requirements of BCM policy at all times and to represent the IT Service function within BCM. You will review current ITSCM testing capability - Following and enhancing ITSCM testing strategies within Service Management - Build and maintain an annual testing schedule - Coordinating multiple recovery tests throughout UK and Europe - Train local IT testing coordinators on recovery testing strategies, concepts and execution - Creating pre test and post test reports with the assistance of a technical author, etc. 40% of the role is managing test plans for 60 critical applications and dependencies. The successful candidate will be a solid BCM professional with strong experience of managing complex DR Testing and potentially have a significant IT Infrastructure background. Demonstrable knowledge of recovery processes for logical walkthroughs, proof of concept, per application and data centre testing. Detailed knowledge of Service Continuity process and issues, including Disaster Recovery planning and testing with a proven delivery record of coordinating an ongoing testing schedule to aggressive timescales. You will be a practical self starter and articulate with strong relationship management skills – this role is newly created hence it needs an individual with drive and enthusiasm as well as capability to enhance and drive this function in a fairly immature environment.
