Andersen Steinberg are seeking on behalf of their client an experienced Business Continuity specialist.
Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible to the Senior Business Continuity Planning Manager for the continued development and maintenance, within the firm's overall Business Continuity Program, of the US Home Office Business Continuity plans for both St. Louis and Tempe.
1) The individual will work with the firm's Senior BCP Manager on the daily coordination and support of the Divisions in their BCP activities as well as assigned projects where necessary. The individual will also act in a back-up role in the absence or lack of availability of the Senior BCP manager.
2) The position will also work with the BCP Specialist, Business Areas and IS to ensure compliance with the industry's business continuity regulatory requirements relating to Business Constituents, Vendors and Service Providers
3) the BCP Specialist on the firm's internal training, exercising and testing program
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in a business related field is preferred but not required.
• Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) strongly preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in Business Continuity Planning. Part or all of such experience could be in fields that would be considered equivalent experience and responsibility levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a BCP Program or similar
• An understanding of and experience with the BCP needs and requirements relating to vendor and service provider functions. This includes an understanding of or the ability to learn vendor business functions and the IS functions relating to such.
• An understanding of and experience with training, exercising and testing programs.
• An understanding of or the ability to learn the BCP regulatory requirements that are applied to the Securities Industry.
• A basic understanding of IS data center recovery plans and activities in order to effectively consider those in the business area plans.
• The ability to interface and coordinate plan development and maintenance efficiently and effectively with Division BCP Coordinators, located in both St. Louis and Tempe.
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment when a situation arises to anticipate the potential impact of an event, and determine the potential courses of action to take and present those to the Senior BCP Manager, or other firm leaders in his absence, for decision making.
