We are looking for a Project Manager with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (Project Manager, DR/BC)

Position Summary: Directs and monitors all activities for small to medium size systems development projects. Assignments may be part of a larger project underway. Performs systems definition, preliminary analysis and design. Meets with business management to determine systems solutions to operation problems. Develops project plans on the basis of cost/benefit justification and establishes a project agreement based on requirement, risk and complexity of potential solutions. Evaluates completed projects in relation to cost/time projections. Provides consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates and ongoing cost analysis. Ensures effective implementation and installation of systems utilizing standard change management processes. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 7-8 years of experience in systems development, with 2-3 years experience in small to medium size project management assignments. Additional Position Summary Detail This position will assist in the development, implementation, testing, education and maintenance of the enterprise contingency program across all departments to ensure business recovery in the event of an emergency or disaster. Will maintain standards and ensure that all plans are documented and meet those standards. Will work in conjunction with department contacts to ensure a high level of awareness across the company as well as the appropriate preparedness of personnel during the event of a disaster.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
• 3 + years experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity disciplines.
• Working knowledge of IT general processes in order to assist in the preparation of disaster recovery procedures and plans.
• Leadership skills to direct activities and provide guidance and direction to individuals and teams without direct reports.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft’s Office Package (Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
• Possession of excellent presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of excellent operational planning and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the long range planning for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Develop and administer disaster recovery and business continuity plans/procedures.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular testing of the disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure that testing is designed and conducted to ensure the recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on regulations, procedures and tools. Review recovery plans and conduct walkthroughs.
• Maintain awareness of technological progress and product developments in disaster and business recovery. Implements disaster and business recovery best practices and improvements across the organization.
• Classify systems and functions for recovery priority.
• Other assignments/projects as assigned by the manager.

ABCP, CBCP, CISSP
