My client is currently seeking a Business Continuity and Emergency Planning Programme Manager to work within their Public Health department.
The right candidate will be from a Government sector background, and have worked at management level for at least 4 years.
You will lead and coordinate a programme of work across the whole organisation to ensure that the organisation complies with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, and more.
Main responsibilities are to ensure that if a major incident occurs the organisation is able to provide a programme of care for those affected by the incident, which may include public health advice, primary care and community health services. Major incidents are infrequent but the organisation has to be ready to respond at all times.
Collaborate with Emergency Planning colleagues in other agencies and organisations to ensure that where major incidents require a multi agency response, plans are complementary. Participate in meetings as required.
The right candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a diploma in health and safety. Knowledge of and experience of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity management in a large organization are essential.
