Andersen Steinberg Group are looking for an Operational Risk Manager for their client, a leading Travel Organisation.
Role Purpose
• To monitor and support the implementation and application of risk management within the organisation to ensure risks to objectives are effectively identified, assessed, managed and communicated.
• Key accountabilities & responsibilities:
• To work with the Manager Business Risk to establish and deliver a structured enterprise wide risk management framework.
• To work with managers to embed a proactive risk management culture.
• To contribute to the creation of policy, procedure, methodology and guidance material to enable and support the application of consistent risk management techniques and approaches throughout the organisation.
• To drive and develop the business process established to mitigate and recover the financial exposures and losses incurred through aircraft ground damage.
• To review and audit departmental risk registers.
Key skills and knowledge required:
• Previous risk management experience within a complex business environment
• Good understanding of operational risk management methodologies and practices
• Working knowledge of corporate governance legislation and regulation
• IRM or other Risk Management qualification is desirable
Personal attributes:
• First class communication and influencing skills
• Ability to build relationships and credibility with all departments and levels of staff both externally and across all internal functions
• Ability to understand and analyse the detail, as well as the bigger picture
• Ability to lead and work in teams
• Educated to degree level/graduate calibre
