Qualified candidates must possess a four-year degree, or the equivalent work experience, a minimum of five years experience of corporate business recovery management and/or business recovery planning development, and a minimum of five to eight years experience in information technology. Excellent project management skills are required with the ability to lead virtual, cross function teams. This professional must be analytical, decisive, and demonstrate problem solving ability. Effective communicating at all levels of the organisation is essential. Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) accreditation is desired.

Primarily responsible for designing, implementing, testing, maintaining, and documenting the business recovery plan, initially focusing on the data centre specific recovery requirements across multiple hardware and software platforms. Must effectively communicate and work closely with internal IT associates, business units, and external vendors to guarantee that the company has the capability to recover the production systems in a timely manner in the event of an extended business interruption.

Will direct activities to develop, implement, test and document recovery plans for the data centre, network, desktop, and related areas, positioning business survival in the event of disaster. Will also act as the project manager for the design, implementation and maintaining of the alternate data centre project.
