Next Generation Data Ltd to build £200 million data centre in Wales
One of the largest data centres in Europe, with redundant power and communications links, is being built in Newport, Wales. Next Generation Data Ltd is investing almost £200 million to convert and upgrade a former semiconductor plant in Newport. The centre, to be called NGD Europe 1, has 400,000 square feet of space that can be divided into 15 separate facilities for individual clients.
