The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), coordinator of the US voluntary standardization system, has announced the accreditation of the International Consortium for Organizational Resilience (ICOR) under the ANSI Certificate Accreditation Program, also known as ANSI-CAP. ICOR is the first credentialing organization to achieve ANSI accreditation of its training programs for PS-Prep.
The ANSI accreditation has been awarded to four of ICOR’s education programs supporting the PS-Prep program:
- Business Continuity Management System Auditor - BCM 5000
- Proprietary CAP Business Continuity Maturity Model Assessor - BCM 4050
- Proprietary CAP Crisis Communications Planner - CMC 2050
- Proprietary CAP Supply Chain Risk Associate - SCRM 2000.

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) has announced that it has partnered with the Third Party Assurance Centre (TPAC), a business assurance initiative, formed to help minimise outsourcing risks. Other industry bodies partnering with TPAC include the Information Security Forum, Cloud Security Alliance, Common Assurance Maturity Model, and the Payment Card Industry board of advisers.

The New Zealand Earthquake Commission (EQC) has increased its estimated Canterbury earthquakes liability by about $4 billion to $7.1 billion, Finance Minister Bill English says.
The new estimate follows an actuarial valuation of EQC's liability, based on available field assessments of damage claims. It includes an increase of $2.17 billion from the 22 February earthquake and $1.42 billion from the 13 June earthquakes and other aftershocks, which were not previously included.
