President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his concern and grief over the large number of flood-related deaths which have occurred in severe weather in Pakistan. Current figures are for 57 dead across Peshawar, Swat, Shangla and other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Buildings have collapsed and many roads have been closed.

Following the success of the over-subscribed Exercise Planning Master-class in London in May 2010, the Business Continuity Institute is bringing the Master-class to Dublin on the 14th October. After the highly successful Olympic Games 2012: Contingency Planning roundtable meeting in May, there has been an overwhelming response to schedule another seminar. The City of London, Frontier Technology and Citrix have organised the next meeting on the 2nd September 2010 to provide firms with updated information about the disruption associated with the Games and will advise firms on how to reduce revenue loss.
