OSHA has issued new fact sheets that employers and workers can use to promote safety during the current H1N1 influenza outbreak. The fact sheets inform employers and workers about ways to reduce the risk of exposure to the 2009 H1N1 virus at work. AutoVirt has announced the results of a survey of IT/IS Management Professionals conducted last month during Storage Networking World, Fall 2009. Results show that while data is growing at a rapid and predictable pace, many companies feel ill-prepared to meet the demands of managing that data - particularly unstructured file data including images, videos, documents and spreadsheets:
- 72% of respondents report that unstructured file data comprises more than half of their IT environment
- 91% of respondents indicate their systems for storing and managing
this data are ‘Antiquated’ or ‘In a State of Transition’

55% of respondents plan on prioritizing data lifecycle management and equipment purchases next year, up from 38% for this year which saw a
heavier emphasis on disaster protection and backup.
