The UK government has published guidance for local partners on delivering the Prevent strategy. This guidance builds on The Prevent Strategy: A Guide for Local Partners, published in June 2008. The key messages from the June 2008 guidance remain current; this document updates that guidance, taking into account lessons learned and emerging best practice, with the overall purpose of helping achieve more effective local delivery of Prevent in communities. Major disaster declared for New York
FEMA has announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for New York and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding during the period of August 8-10, 2009.Jaime E.
