Northern Group Systems becomes the first Northern Ireland based organization to be certified to BS 25999
Northern Group Systems (Environmental Health), a local government group, located in Northern Ireland, has become that region’s first organization to be certified to BS 25999. In a presentation earlier in August, Councillor David Barbour received the award on behalf of the staff of Northern Group Systems (Environmental Health) and Councillor James Currie received the award on behalf of the staff of the ICT Department of Ballymena Borough Council.

Pandemic Planning - Challenging Assumptions; Validating Plans

This BCI workshop is intended for those organizations that have already developed pandemic plans. The key sessions are:
* A situation update with a briefing from the central government team responsible for pandemic planning in the UK;
* A presentation of a well-structured plan from Dan Castle of RWEnPower and Business Continuity Newcomer of the Year 2009, to assist in identifying key issues and approaches that must be considered;
