EU Member States have offered vital assistance through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism involving boats, pumps, generators, water purification and emergency equipment. The EU's Monitoring and Information Centre (MIC) dispatched experts to facilitate the coordination of the relief effort on the ground in Moldova and Ukraine.

SunGard has reported that revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2008 was $1.36 billion, an increase of 15 percent compared to the same period in 2007. Organic revenue (revenue from businesses owned for at least one year, and excluding revenue from businesses sold in the previous twelve months) grew 12 percent compared to the same period in 2007.
