AMEC awarded US$40 million flood map modernization contract by FEMA
AMEC has been awarded a five-year contract worth up to $40 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for a variety of flood map modernization services in FEMA Region III (Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C.). Under the contract, which replaces an expiring $10 million Region III contract, AMEC will provide digital flood insurance rate map (DFIRM) production, hydrologic and hydraulic floodplain modeling, coastal flooding analyses, community floodplain ordinance reviews and updates, multi-hazard risk analyses, and post-disaster support. www.amec.com
