RMS Estimates cost of UK floods to reach £3.25 billion
The June and July floods that gripped parts of the UK could cost insurers between £2.25 billion and £3.25 billion in total, according to latest estimates by Risk Management Solutions. Insured losses from the July flood are likely to be between £1.0 billion and £1.5 billion, with the estimated cost of the 25 June flood ranging from £1.25 billion to £1.75 billion. These figures could be higher than many insurers expected, based on their initial estimates of the risk.

Weyerhaeuser selects HP
HP has announced it has signed a seven-year global IT services contract to run, manage and support the distributed IT environment of Weyerhaeuser Company, an international forest products company. Under the contract, HP will provide Weyerhaeuser a single point of contact for client and server management, software and storage management, business continuity and availability and disaster recovery solutions, as well as mission critical technical support and lifecycle management services.
