New version of UltraBac backup and disaster recovery software released
UltraBac Software has released version 8.0, of its UltraBac backup and disaster recovery software. Major new features include UltraCopy for creating duplicate media for off-site storage, barcode media pool support, differential image backup, and native 64-bit support for both Intel and AMD processors. www.ultrabac.com

American Insurance Association joins FSSCC
The Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (FSSCC) has announced that the American Insurance Association (AIA) has joined 27 other financial services industry associations and trade groups as the newest member of the Council. The AIA represents over 435 major insurance companies providing all lines of property and casualty insurance.

The FSSCC, a network of financial trade associations and private firms representing thousands of financial services organisations, works closely with the US Department of the Treasury and financial regulators, as well as with the Department of Homeland Security, to coordinate the private sector's business continuity preparation for events that could disrupt the normal business of the financial services.
