Commission approves acquisition of Chloride by Emerson
The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Chloride, a UK-based electrical equipment supplier, by the US company Emerson. ICM announces large contract
In a statement by parent company Phoenix IT Group plc, it was revealed that ICM has signed a five year extension to its largest business continuity contract. SunGard announces second quarter 2010 results
SunGard has reported results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2010. For the quarter, revenue was $1.30 billion, down 5 percent year over year, and income from operations was $126 million. Adjusted EBITDA was $354 million, down 1 percent year over year, and adjusted income from operations was $269 million, down 3 percent year over year. SunGard has reported that revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 was $1.25 billion, down 6 percent from 2009. Adjusted EBITDA was $297 million, down 9 percent from 2009. Adjusted income from operations was $217 million, down 10 percent from 2009. Excluding the results of one of its trading systems businesses revenue was up 3 percent and adjusted income from operations was down 3 percent. SunGard gets new chief financial officer
SunGard has announced that from January 1 2010 Robert Woods has been its new chief financial officer. Mr. Woods succeeds Michael Ruane who remains with SunGard as chief financial officer of its Availability Services business.
